Description: This Data Labs Project uses the experiment method. Students participate in an online experiment that presents six or nine cards, with each card containing a different animal name, a different number between 1 and 9, and a different background color. Students are asked to remember one of these three elements (color, number, or word), but then are tested for recall of all three elements. The statistical analyses look for differences in accuracy of recall and response speed between the different elements, testing this question: Is memory better (and faster) for items to which a person's attantion has been directed?
