Description: This Psych Labs Project uses the experiment method. Students participate in an online experiment that tests students' memory for the names of U.S. Presidents, first in a RECALL condition and then in a RECOGNITION condition. The statistical analyses look for differences in memory performance between the two conditions in terms of "hit rate" (percentage of Presidents correctly recalled or recognized) and "false alarm rate" (percentage of non-Presidents recalled or recognized incorrectly as having been President). Note that this version of the experiment includes 45 individuals who have served as U.S. President, from Washington to Biden.
